The Bunker
Yesterday I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the WWII RAF Operations Bunker and Museum at RAF Uxbridge. It is in an amazing condition considering it’s age. The bunker is a suite of rooms 60ft down underground. The build was started in 1938 and completed in 1939 and was operational just before the war started. The bunker is sealed against gas attack and is ventilated by two plants both of which are still operational.
