What is it….

It’s the Earl of Berkley of course….

I hope to publish some more photos over the next couple of days.

I had a bit of luck whilst visiting one of the engine sheds. As it was a big public day they took advantage of lots of visitors and ran sales tables up and down the line. In one of the engine sheds I found a Canon EOS 600 film camera for sale – a classic in its time (1980’s). It had an old 35-70mm lens on it which also does macro. I quickly sought permission to try the lens on my Canon 500D and it worked a treat.  So I bought the lot for a song. I don’t know if the camera is any good (I’ve got a film and am getting a battery) yet – but for the money I’ve got a good intermediate lens overlapping my 18-55 and 55-250 lenses and may be a camera as well. I had to buy a new UV filter (the old was scratched but it had done it’s job) and a pair of lens caps. Result!
